You might find it extremely hard to believe that Hunter Schafer has never graced the cover of Vogue – until now. Shocking, right? Francesca Ragazzi at Vogue Italia just put the world to rights, with Schafer unveiled as the magazine’s June 2024 cover star. Following in the footsteps of the likes of Taylor Russell, Bella Hadid and Irina Shayk by fronting the Italian fashion bible in 2024, the American actress, model and undisputed style icon poses for Ethan James Green. In the ethereal (and familiar-looking) cover shot, Schafer is dressed by stylist Dara Allen in an embellished bolero jacket from Giorgio Armani’s Spring 2024 collection.

“Kind of reminds me of a Shein version of August 2005. Disappointing because Hunter is a beauty, I still remember her Allure cover from a couple of years ago, not sure why photographers struggle to capture her at her best lately. She looks great on the red carpet!” shared WinstonH20.
“It’s an obvious attempt to replicate that legendary Italian Vogue cover, but with that filter and design, who are they even trying to convince?” asked crmsn.
Scotty soon chimed in, sharing: “It’s cute and all, but Snejana’s cover is too iconic to be referenced so literally. Just looks like a bad copy.”
“It’s beautiful shot and a strong cover, references and all,” Marc10 defended.
“This feels like a nice attempt at recreating some of that old-school Vogue Italia magic,” confessed vogue28.
In complete agreement was Cute, commenting: “Love the image and immediately thought of Snejana’s Vogue Italia cover as well. I’m surprised that this is Hunter’s first ever Vogue cover!”
“It takes you away. I like the dreamy 70s aesthetic,” admired newton91.
