Loewe Menswear Spring 2025 Collection Review

It’s day five of six of Menswear Paris Fashion Week and early today, JW Anderson presented his 10-year anniversary for Loewe menswear. The Northern Irish designer started his tenure at Loewe in 2013, but it wasn’t until June of 2014 that he presented his first collection – in the form of the menswear Spring 2015 lookbook. Fast forward to Spring 2025 and Anderson is still brimming with ideas. This season, the designer dressed his models in feathers, often gilded ones, as upside crowns hanging off their temples. A handful of models emerged from backstage shirtless, wearing only billowing, draped pants. Elsewhere throughout the collection, there was masterful uses of leather and nods to military dress.

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“This collection was oddly sober for a JW Anderson collection. It’s a bit unsettling.” [LadyJunon]

“What a big flop autopilot season from JW Anderson. Clearly, he is burnt out doing too many collections and projects.” [TomBlanksFullFatMiuMiu]

“It’s visually a bit heavy for me for a spring/summer collection, but I enjoyed the tailoring and the detailing. I appreciate the variety of silhouettes.” [j02215]

“I think it’s lovely. Much more wearable than previous collections.” [Ihhbl]

“I actually admire this collection; it’s a a graceful output from JW. Usually when I watch a Loewe menswear show, I like the collections and appreciate JW’s experimentation but accept that it’s not super pragmatic/meant for me. But this time around, there were a few looks that I felt hit the right in-between of experimentation and ready-to-wear.” [Overindulgence]

“I’m very into the pants, to be honest. Loving how he plays with proportions and movement.” [thiago]
