Sora Choi Vogue Japan March 2024

You’ve heard it here on theFashionSpot on more than one occasion: Vogue Japan just isn’t the same. Since Condé Nast installed Tiffany Godoy as the magazine’s head of editorial content, covers have been extremely hit and miss. For March 2024, Godoy welcomes Sora Choi as cover girl, who has rapidly became one of the industry’s most prolific of Asian models. For the Spring 2024 campaign season alone (thus far), the beauty who hails from South Korea already has advertising campaigns for Prada and Giorgio Armani tucked up inside her portfolio. Via the lens of photographer Peter Ash Lee on Japanese Vogue‘s latest, surrounded by a floral display, Sora is dressed in an embellished look from Gucci’s Spring 2024 collection, selected for the occasion by stylist Alvin Yu.

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“The new issue of House & Garden looks promising,” laughed avonlea002.

House & Garden at least makes the effort to use houses and gardens. This looks like a florist’s store that’s been set up in a studio,” forum member tigerrouge chimed in.

Also far from overjoyed at the sight of the cover was dontbeadrag, commenting: “This is a total failure. Styling is bad, photography is bad – everything is terrible!”

“For me everything works except the model,” confessed DK92.

“I find this very pretty. Sora looks so cute,” ivano admired.

Vogue28 voiced: “Admittedly, this isn’t the worst Vogue Japan cover I’ve across under Tiffany Godoy. Very appropriate for a March issue, despite the cliche of the florals for spring. I’m liking how Sora’s lips seem to be be a perfect match the flowers, which is a very nice attention to detail. One slight snag I do have is the amputated-looking arm on the right… so unfortunate.”
