Kate Moss Vogue Japan June 2024

You’re about to see a whole lot more of Kate Moss down at your local newsstand. After all, the powers that be at Condé Nast are making full use of their recent fashion story with the iconic Brit model, from the pages of British Vogue‘s May 2024 installment. Said shoot, lensed by Nikolai von Bismarck, has since turned up on the covers of Vogue Germany, Vogue Taiwan and now Vogue Japan. As opposed to her German and Taiwanese counterparts who opted for a photograph of Kate in full-color, Japanese Vogue‘s Tiffany Godoy selected a black and white shot the current face of Fendi, Balenciaga and Anine Bing for June 2024. In the classic and timeless portrait, Moss (who appeared on the magazine’s inaugural issue for September 1999 and was last on the cover in April 2012) is dressed by Kate Phelan in Chanel.

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“My favorite of the [recent] Kate Moss covers,” instantly approved kokobombon.

“I’ve found all three covers of Vogue with Kate by Nikolai von Bismark to be solid. One of the very rare occasions in which I’m able to stomach Condé Nast’s shared content strategy. I love the look of this, can appreciate the use of the black and white and the soft lilac masthead which complements the shot beautifully. It’s all just so well done,” commended vogue28.

Also an admirer was forum member jeremydante: “This is pretty. I love this angle and the hair.”

Not everyone, however, with in agreement. “I see they went for a painting instead of a photo. Creative,” voiced Alquimista, suggesting some serious post-production has occurred.

“I miss the old Vogue Japan/Nippon,” sighed MON.
