Miu Miu Handbags 2024 Ad Campaign Gigi Hadid

Make no mistake that Miuccia Prada has her muses on speed dial, and regularly calls upon the same select few when it comes to casting Miu Miu’s advertising campaigns. Along with the likes of Emma Corrin, Gigi Hadid can most certainly rank herself a one of Mrs. Prada’s firm faves. The Italian fashion designer first endorsed Hadid as the face of Miu Miu’s Matelassé handbags last year, and it’s repeat performance for 2024. Also back is the legendary photographer that is Steven Meisel, who for the retro-inspired campaign, drew inspiration from the pioneering British interwar photographer Yevonde, who spearheaded the use of color photography in the 1930s. Against a backdrop of pastel ombré backdrops, Gigi totes Miu Miu’s Wander and Arcadie handbags (in addition to showing off her fresh-cut bob) in the stylized campaign images, harking back to a wondrous bygone era.

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“Love Madame Yevonde. The colors in this are super beautiful, its actually a nice take on Yevonde’s work!” praised Kite the moment the campaign struck.

“The beauty styling is transporting me back to Vogue Italia April 2008 with Natalia Vodianova, and I’m not complaining. The coloring and lighting here are both just soooo beautiful,” admired vogue28.

Lax89 confessed: “Instantly like it. I’m no big fan of Gigi Hadid but she looks good there and the hair works on her. Very retro in a good way.”

Alquimista commented: “The background is quite cheesy but Gigi looks very elegant.”

“I love the art direction but this looks quite old and stuffy for Miu Miu,” critiqued Serend1pity.

FiLReD shared the same sentiments, adding: “Miu Miu should be young and fresh. This is quite the contrary of freshness.”
